SWEET NARDIS

Written by Ada Bird Wolfe, Jamieson Trotter

At dawn, when the stars turn pale
Sweet Nardis stirs and dons her veils
Her love, slipping out the door.
When daylight comes he stays no more.

All day, sitting on her throne,
Her fingers trace what she has known
At night, only by their touch
The lips and thighs she loves so much.

They want her to be a bride
She only wants what darkness hides
A child of their union born
To have and hold when love is gone.

Who cares? What the world will say
If she can have when he’s away
A small token of the night
Magically turned into the light

From dark to light
From day to night
From dark to light
From day to night
